Caleb House (Casa Kaleb in Romanian, Kaleb Ház in Hungarian) aims to help young people who have grown up in children’s homes in Cluj-Napoca, Romania to learn the skills to cope with independent living.
We are a legally-registered Romanian non-profit organisation which works in connection with supporters overseas to provide help and assistance to young adults aged 18+ who have not had the best start in life.
We assist the young people with skills such as:
- Learning to cook
- Learning to budget
- Job-seeking skills
In our newly-constructed house in the Someseni area of Cluj, we currently care for three young people, between the ages of 18 and 23. The property allows us to house both male and female young people, with separate living and washing accommodation for them. The young people also have a separate room which can either be used for study purposes, or for relaxation. It is equipped with a computer with internet access and a digital piano to help them develop their musical talents.
